Stratasys lança décima primeira edição do concurso Extreme Redesign 3D
A Stratasys Ltda. (NASDAQ: SSYS), líder global em soluções de impressão 3D e de manufatura aditiva, anuncia a abertura do concurso Desafio Anual de Impressão 3D Extreme Redesign 2015. Em sua 11ª edição, essa disputa convida estudantes do mundo inteiro a participarem com designs inovadores de novos produtos, redesigns de produtos existentes, projetos originais de arte ou de arquitetura ou redesigns. O desafio está aberto para estudantes de engenharia, design, arte e arquitetura. Os projetos devem apresentar um design mecânico completo, além de serem realistas e aplicáveis, que serão julgados com base nos seguintes critérios:
– Design mecânico perfeito e integridade das peças;
– Descrição convincente (por escrito e/ou em vídeo);
– Criatividade de design;
– Utilidade do produto;
– Estética (para a categoria de arte e arquitetura).
Os projetos serão criados pelos estudantes (individual ou dupla) em programas de software CAD 3D, e devem ser enviados em arquivos formato STL online para a Stratasys, juntamente com o formulário de inscrição preenchido e/ou vídeo de 30 segundos explicando o valor e os benefícios do modelo criado para o Extreme Redesign. O prazo final para envio dos projetos é até dia 11 de fevereiro de 2015.
As categorias incluem:
– Engenharia: Nível secundário (estudantes de ensino médio);
– Engenharia: Nível superior (estudantes inscritos em uma universidade ou faculdade);
– Arte e arquitetura (todos os níveis).
Com novidade nesta edição, o vencedor que ficar em primeiro lugar no concurso Extreme Redesign na categoria estudante de ensino superior ganhará uma viagem para a conferência sobre impressão 3D em 2015 (local a ser determinado). Os vencedores do primeiro lugar de cada categoria receberão bolsas no valor de US$ 2.500 e o instrutor do vencedor do primeiro lugar receberá uma impressora 3D de demonstração para uso em sala de aula, por um tempo limitado. Os vencedores do segundo e terceiro lugar receberão bolsas no valor de US$ 1.000. Adicionalmente, os 10 designs principais de cada categoria receberão um vale-presente Stratasys no valor de US$ 50 e os semifinalistas regionais receberão um modelo de seus projetos, impresso em 3D. Conforme os anos anteriores, todos os participantes receberão uma camisa oficial do Extreme Redesign.
